My Lack of Productivity
Happy Monday Evening to you, lovies. The first hurdle of the week is almost to a close, and now it’s time to enjoy the rest of the week as it tumbles toward the weekend. A three day weekend at that! :-)
What did you do over this past Saturday and Sunday? I’ve got to admit — I was so lazy. And I can’t tell you how much I hate that. I love being busy, I love rushing around and having tons to do, and I love being productive. But this weekend? Total.Lazeball. Kind of a bummer!
On Saturday I did do some things. I went grocery shopping, read, did some laundry, cooked, and found a couple of things for my Fall wardrobe. I know it sounds like a lot, but compared to what my normal Saturday looks like, this is not a lot, and it is not enough to make me feel satisfied. Do you know what I mean? My weekend is my “me-time” or my “Grey-and-me-time” and I didn’t really feel like I got a whole lot done in the midst of this “me-time.” I felt like I was laaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaa-aaaaaazy. *Sigh*
Considering the fact that on Saturday I actually put on an outfit and left the house, Sunday looks much, much worse. I stayed in my pajamas all day long, watched movies, and occasionally checked Facebook on my iPhone. To me, this isn’t relaxing. This is torture! Especially when I look back on it when I start my Monday and I realize that I didn’t do anything over the weekend! Anyway, Grey and I did go out with his sister, her husband, my future mother- and father-in-law, and my future bro-in-law for Jil’s birthday (which was a ton of fun and I great way to close out the weekend) at a restaurant called Chelsea’s Kitchen. We drank wine, ate delicious food, and laughed a ton. It was definitely the best part about my weekend.
Needless to say, I didn’t wedding-plan this weekend. Why? I don’t know. Maybe I am just kind of getting a teeny bit tired of all of the planning — I just want the day to get here already! I just want to walk down that aisle with my daddy and marry the man of my dreams. That’s where my head is at these days — just getting to that week-of when all of my girlies are here and all of my family is here and we prepare to celebrate all of the love that Grey and I have for one another. Oh! We did book our honeymoon this weekend. Woo! Sedona, here we come! We’ll be there from the 13th to the 18th, and we are so excited to hike, picnic, drink wine, feed ducks, dine, and take a day trip or two to Prescott if we so please. So that is definitely very exciting!
I am going to be getting back on the planning wagon tonight. I’ve got my coffee in hand and the Real Housewives of New Jersey on my TV — I’m good to go. ;-) I hope you all have a wonderful evening, and thanks for letting me vent about my laziness. Back to normal tomorrow — promise!
Love, M
