Kisses and Cake

Timing, Invitations…

Hello, hello!  ;-)

How’s it goin’?  Did you all have a wonderful day?  I hope so!

Work wasn’t all that busy today, but I had an awesome day with all of the people I work with.  I love that I enjoy Monday mornings — it’s so great to be able to look forward to going to work after a weekend.  Very cool; I’ve never had a job like that before!  Needless to say, I’m a happy girl!  (PS: While I was at work, I started to feel a sore throat coming on, so I grabbed a handful of cherries that I had packed and ate them; my sore throat was gone within a half an hour — cherries are a natural pain-reliever; just something to think about as the weather starts to get colder and you start to feel sick or achey with the change of season — stock up now!)

When I got home, I watched an episode of Grey’s Anatomy and cried like a baby.  Some of those episodes really get me!  I am on Season 2 right now and have completely fallen in love with George, Dr. Burke, and Meredith.  Oh, and Meredith’s sweet new beau — the veterinarian.  :-)  Do any of you watch this show?

After that, I started to plan a little bit for the wedding.  Cara (the wedding planner) has sent me over a time sheet where every little detail gets worked out.  It is a tiny bit daunting just because there are so many minute things to think of, but just knowing that someone is going to have this event in their heads inside and out makes me feel so relaxed.  I am getting started on that so that we can figure out some other details for the Day-Of.  There’s so much to think about, but this little sheet (or four sheets, rather) is my security blanket.  ;-)

We have almost placed our order for the invitations.  We’re almost there.  We know the quantity we are ordering, we know the price, now it’s just one more detail that I have to figure out tomorrow after work and then we are done.  Except for envelopes, I think — they still have to be figured out.  But we.will.get.there.  I want to give a shout-out to my amazing stationary designer, Jillian Green — the lady is amazing (and just so happens to be my future sis-n-law).  She has been beyond patient with me and my unorganized self; I love her.  Jil has created G and I a logo, too, which will go on the favors, so that I am excited about, as well.  If you need a logo, Jillian is fantastic and really pulls magic out of her designer hat.  To see some of her designs, check out her website here.

My night has come to a close with some blogging and a Purple Monster.  It was delish.  And now, my honey is almost home, so I’ve gotta go snuggle with my love on the couch.

Yeah.  We’re sappy.

Goodnight!

Love, M
