Crazy, Crazy Week
Hi, lovebugs!
How are you this AM? I am doing well, just hangin’ out before I start getting ready for work. This week is pretty busy — I am expecting my weeks to continue to stay busy, most likely until the wedding, which, might I add, is less than two months away! Woo! I am so excited, I can’t even begin to explain to you. Yesterday evening I met with my mom and we got a lot of planning taken care of — we had so much fun! We bounced ideas off of one another and came up with some great ones that are sticking and growing! We are going to be using Saturdays as our shopping/getting-things-done days, and once or twice a week (for now) we’ll be getting together and planning.
Grey and I picked up our invitations from his sister, Jil, on Tuesday night, and let me just say… they are incredible. I swear, it’s like Jil got inside of my head and just pulled out, bit by bit, exactly what I was hoping for these invites. She somehow managed to pull it off on a pretty tight budget, too! I’ll be posting the invitations onto my blog at a later date — don’t want to ruin the surprise for our guests who will be receiving these beauties in the mail!
My mom brought over a bunch of goodies last night that she had ordered — table runners (gorgeous lace-inspired), little favor tags for us to garner inspiration from, and an adorable hanger for my dress (not terribly necessary, but it’ll look great in our pictures). We were in my kitchen squealing, and dancing, and Grey took that as his cue to head over to a friend’s house (lol!). But hey, at least he knows where I get it from! ;-)
I am almost finished with that time sheet, you guys. I can’t even begin to explain to you how excited that makes me. I powered through a lot of it last night when my mom left, and I got a lot done. I think that one more businessy-type get-together between my mom and I and that baby will be good to go! Woo! I also e-mailed the florist last night because our order has changed only slightly. No worries to be had there. Did I ever show you the types of flowers that will be showcasing themselves on the Big Day? Well, allow me to introduce you to…
Whew! Now, I’m not going to tell you where all of these pretties will be put or how they will be arranged — you’ll just have to wait for the pictures for that! But this gives you an idea! ;-)
Grey and I purchased his wedding band last week, so we’ve got that crossed off of the list. That feels good. We shopped at Ganem Jewelers and had a fantastic experience. He chose a titanium, dark metal band that totally suits him. We both love it! And the price was really great, which helped us out a lot.
So there’s a little update for you! I have been busy in my home finding different ways to implement a little bit of Fall decor…so far I just have some Fall-ish flower arrangements that I put together. I figure since it is still over 100 degrees in Arizona, I shouldn’t get too ahead of myself. But I have a lot of fun projects in the works for the coming months, and as much as I love all of the wedding talk, I am very excited that this blog will be taking a turn more towards the home&garden focus once we get back from our honeymoon. :-)
